Application: Façade Backing Wall
An iconic high-rise building rising above Barnsley town Centre, North Yorkshire designed for mixed-use and residential purposes, the project has over 6000m2 of EnviroSips 125mm Structural Insulated Panels forming the backing wall system for a combination of rainscreen systems including Terracotta tiles and flat composite panels. The EnviroSips building system was installed external of the concrete frame via specially designed connection bracket system allowing for all structural movement, while at the same time providing the developer with additional sellable floor space within the building.
The EnviroSips system provided an ideal backing for the various types of rainscreen cladding finishes used on the building.
